1940’s
Walker Miller & Co, established in 1942 by Mr. Walker and Mr. Miller, initially served as a trusted electrical service provider for local manufacturers in the coal, steel, and cutlery industries from their premises at 144 Charles St in Sheffield city centre.
70’s
1970’s
As the manufacturing landscape in the UK underwent a decline in the early 1970s, Walker Miller had to adapt and shift its focus towards the growing commercial and public sectors. Through perseverance, adaptability, and additional training, the company successfully diversified its client base, serving schools, hospitals, universities, shops, and various commercial clients.
90’s
1990’s
In 1994, Walker Miller relocated to 2 Walkley Lane, where it operates to this day. Despite facing challenges during the financial crash of 2008, the company's resilience, positive attitude, and hard work helped it navigate through the recession and emerge stronger than ever.
